My Big Little Boy

I thought I would post some pictures of how big my baby is getting. He has been crawling for a while, but I haven't taken a picture of it yet.

He has been pulling himself up on anything and everything he can get to for the past week. It started a while before that, but he has had it mastered for about a week now. Needless to say, I can't take my eyes off of him.

What a big, sweet, adorable boy!

Trunk-or-Treat

Last night was our ward's trunk-or-treat. The boys have been so excited about this for days. This year was the first year I let them pick out what they wanted to be. Brenden chose Batman, and Connor chose a dinosaur. We had a little bit of trouble finding a dinosaur costume in his size. Thanks to Erin, we were able to pull it off. Poor Noah had to wear a lion head, but it didn't last too long.

Here is Brenden showing off his cape, that was his favorite part of his costume. Doesn't he look so Batman?

Connor is roaring for the camera. He told me that he is a nice dinosaur. Not a mean one.

Noah is being a good sport about the Lion head. I just didn't have it in me to get him all dressed up. I think we were both okay with that.

Here they are eating their goodies. They were so excited to get home and eat their treats. Brenden loved his costume so much he didn't want to change out of it.

One of their favorite "treats" of the night was a glow stick. They loved them so much. They turned off all the lights last night and wandered around the house with them. They even slept with them in their hands. It was so cute!

Conversations that Melt my Heart

On Fridays, it is show-and-tell at Brenden's preschool. The letter of the week was "F" so whatever we bring should start with the letter "F". The only thing I could think of this morning was our monstrous firetruck. It really is rather large to be bringing to preschool. Anyway, it fit in Brenden's backpack, so I decided it was a go. After I strapped Brenden and Connor in their seats, Brenden asked me where the firetruck was. I told him it was in his backpack and this was the conversation as follows: Brenden: " Oh boy, that will be heavy." Connor: "I'll carry it for you." Brenden: "No, thanks. I can do it."

I thought it was so cute. First of all, that Brenden said "Oh Boy," and second of all that tiny little Connor offered to carry Brenden's backpack for him. It was so sweet.

Preschool Field Trip

Brenden's preschool had a field trip to a farm. The boys unfortunately knew about this way too early. I think we counted down for a whole week. They were so excited that we talked about it various times a day until the blessed day finally came! We had a blast! There was a kids ride, a hay ride, a pumkin patch, a demonstration of the different uses of corn (besides eating of course), we fed the animals, and finally we ate a picnic. We had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from our day:

The Cutest Ever!

So this morning Brenden came to me and told me he had everything ready for Noah's breakfast. So I followed him into the kitchen and he had one of Noah's bowls, a spoon, some formula, the rice cereal, and some fruit to add in. It was so adorable! I was so impressed. I know that they are around while I am getting Noah's cereal ready, but I didn't know he was watching so closely. After I mixed the cereal, I told Brenden he could give Noah a bite of the cereal. So here is the video clip.

Connor wanted to feed Noah too.

Noah's Mark - 7 months that is

It was 7 months ago today that Noah joined our family. We are so happy that he did. We all love him so much.
Time has gone by so fast! He is crawling everywhere, and even starting to pull himself up on anything he can. He loves wrestling with Brenden and baths are his favorite. He loves eating when his big brothers do. He has 2 teeth already! He needs a few more because he thinks he can eat everything we do.

Our neighbors brought over some to die for caramel popcorn. Brenden, Connor and I were loving it. Noah let me know that he was really wanting some too, so for his 7 month mark he got a little baby cookie that Papa sent him. It was his first and he loved it
Yes, that is cookie on his eyebrow. He really loved them! And we really love Noah!

Snow Day

This was last Friday, but it was so cute I just had to post it. Brenden and Connor were so excited it was snowing. Brenden wanted to catch snowflakes in his mouth so badly. They would just stare out the window at the snow. Saturday morning the first thing I remember when I woke up was Brenden and Connor running across the house yelling, Mom there's snow on your flowers.
This is the boys watching the snow, they are so cute!
This is the scene we woke up to Saturday morning. It wasn't a lot of snow, but enough for me to get out my wool socks!

Happiness

Yesterday at dinner, Brenden asked me to make him laugh. So I made a funny face at him and he and Connor laughed pretty hard. Then he asked me what makes me happy. I had to think about it. So I decided to list some things that really make me happy. So here they are:
Family adventures. Yes, that is the honda with an 18 foot tree on top. You should have seen the looks we got driving it home!!!

My boys make me so happy. They are always doing crazy things to make me chuckle.
Gary makes me happy. He is a wonderful husband and such a great father for our boys.
Snowmobiling at my family's cabin in the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho! Yep, we love it so much we even take infants along!
My family makes me very happy! This includes you Dad, Mom and Amy! I've really got to get an updated family photo of all of us.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is what gives me hope and makes me realize what truly brings me happiness.

Canadian Rockies

I thought I would post some of the pictures we took from Banff and Fairmont. We were in a gorgeous place. It was so fun to look out over our balcony. Canada is a gorgeous place! Did you notice the color of the water? It was the most gorgeous blue color.

Calgary Zoo

This tiger was huge! She is up like this because they were making her work to get her food. The zookeeper held her food up high and she had to reach up to get it. It was pretty impressive. They were feeding her chicken, for those who were wondering.

These are moose. I was kind of worried about the boys being so close to them. I hear moose are mean!

My boys are obsessed with dinosaurs. So the fact that they had a dinosaur park was an extra bonus. They loved sticking their hands in the dinosaur's mouth.

And nose too!

Connor wanted his turn.

This one is to show that Noah was at the zoo too!

We had a blast at the zoo. We looked at everything they had there. The gorillas were sleeping, which Brenden still talks about. He was pretty sad that we didn't get to see them. It was so much fun. The weather was gorgeous and the zoo was in the most gorgeous setting. The trees were changing colors, it was beautiful. There's nothing like taking your three animal obsessed children to the zoo! During our extremely long ride home, Gary asked Brenden what his favorite part of the vacation was and he said the zoo immediately! This was definately one of the highlights of our trip.

O Canada!

We just got back from a family vacation to Canada. We had a blast! We truly fell in love with Canada. We were very impressed with how clean it was, how beautiful it was, and how they recycle in even the smallest of towns, and all along the highway they have garbage cans and recycling bins! We were able to see my sister, Amy, who lives in Alberta, and her family. It was so good to spend time with them! It was good to spend time together as a family. We truly enjoyed every minute, well, Noah didn't love the large amount of time we spent in the car! We made memories we will be talking about for the rest of our lives.
