Happy 1st Birthday Noah!!!!!

I can't believe my sweet baby is ONE. We have loved every minute that we have shared with him this past year. He is such a wonderful addition to our family.
Here's the birthday cake.
Noah diving in, he started picking the chocolate curls off the cake while I was lighting the candle. He just couldn't wait to get his hands on it!
What a mess!

Noah we love you so much! Thanks for being such a sweet boy. You make us all laugh with your sweet personality. We look forward to many more years full of wonderful memories.

More Sledding Fun

We went sledding again today. We had a blast! Connor is the one who got hurt today. He fell off the sled and scratched his nose. He was pretty upset about it, although he really wasn't hurt too badly.

Here is a shot of the Connor's poor little nose, can you tell the Spider-Man Band-Aid made him feel so much better? I was happy we were sledding with friends. I have witnesses that my kids really are falling in the snow! I'm starting to get a complex, haha.

Here is my sweet little trooper. He was so patient today while we played in the snow. He even went down once, it was a very slow mild ride. I promise! I couldn't find his hat, so he is wearing mine. Poor boy!

Brenden's fall from last time didn't seem to worry him at all. He never stopped sledding the entire time we were there. He was in heaven!

We were borrowing sleds from friends; but Brenden's persistent nagging the whole way home convinced me that sleds are something we are definately going to have to invest in.  He told me he thought it would be a good idea for us to stop at the store right then on the way home. Thanks Voigtlaender's for a great time!

Sledding at the Lake

On Saturday, we went sledding up at the lake. I was a little nervous about going with 3 little boys, but I decided I would regret it if we didn't go. We had a blast! Brenden and Connor loved it!
They look so cute all bundled up!!!!
They would go down and then immediately start hiking back up the hill. They never stopped! As you can tell from this picture, the snow was not that great. You can see the dirt and the sagebrush. The snow that we did have was really icy too.
The hill was getting busy and a little girl we were with hit a tree on her sled; so we decided to take one more run down and then call it a day. Bad decision! We hiked up a little farther than we had gone before, but we wanted to go out with a bang-literally. We got going really fast and then we hit a bump and Brenden flew off the sled and face first into a huge ice pack. Here is a picture of his sweet little face.
The swelling and the redness have gone way down, but his eye today is very black. Once we got home and got some Motrin in him he said, "I can't wait to go to preschool and show all of my friends my face." He is so cute, and we feel so blessed that he wasn't hurt any worse. We're also so grateful for all those who helped check Brenden out and calm me down!!!
