Some things Never Change

This picture was taken February 12, 2006.

This picture was taken today. He's still sitting on the counter helping me clean my mixer. Some things never change. Thank goodness!

Thank you Terminix!!!

If any of you have been to visit lately, you may have noticed the mass amounts of bugs that swarm our house. It has been almost unbearable to be outside. Today Terminix came and saved the day! It is amazing how much better it was today, not bugless, but much better! They're coming back in 2 weeks and we just have to say THANK YOU!!!!

Bandaid Solutions

Today I am grateful for duct tape. Connor has an old helicopter that he recently started playing with again. The rotars on his helicopter kept coming off and he would come to me every 3 seconds to have me put them on. I tried teaching him how, but that was very unsuccessful. After a few meltdowns, I decided to see if duct tape would work.
He hasn't been back once to ask me to fix it. Thank you duct tape!

We love you Grandpa Mickelsen!

Matthew 25:21 reads, "His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the lord."
Thank you Grandpa for your example of always being cheerful, for making friends with anyone and everyone, of hard work, of music, of self-discipline, of quiet dignity, of love of all mankind, of education and life long learning, of being good to all man, of love of family and family history, of love of country, of service, and especially for your example of enduring to the end.
Well done Grandpa, we love you so much! We are so proud of the life you lived and feel so grateful to have been a part of it. You will be dearly missed, but we know you will never be too far away.

You've got your hands full!

I have heard the phrase, "You've got your hands full," a million and one times since I had Connor just short of a year after I had Brenden. Ever since I had Noah, I hear it 3 times every time we leave the house.

On Friday, we went out shopping and I think I heard it twice while we were out. We came home and Brenden and Connor were playing together and out of nowhere Connor said, "Brenden, you really have your hands full." I just about died laughing!

Easter Activities

I saw an idea for these cake pops here. They were so supercute. Mine didn't turn out quite so cute, but we had fun with them.
Yes, they at one point had sticks, but they were a little top heavy.

Brenden and Connor enjoying the cake pops.

Noah couldn't be left out.

Here was our Easter morning breakfast. I guess I have a thing for decorating eggs.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter season. It was so much fun this year teaching my boys what Easter is all about. We have had Family Home Evenings, Conference, and dinner time talks about what Easter is really about. I feel grateful that I was able to teach Relief Society yesterday and bear testimony that I know that my Savior lives. I feel so grateful to know the fullness of the gospel. I am grateful to be able to share these blessings with my children.
